In 2020, the University of Montana spectrUM Discovery Area is excited to move into the new Missoula Public Library and offer free admission for all. In this new location, we are excited to offer expanded exhibits and programming, an indoor climbing structure and interactive health-science exhibit, a water room featuring water tables and activities, a makerspace operated with Missoula Public Library, and a UM Community Lab complete with active UM research, research experiences for high-school students, and public engagement with UM researchers.
spectrUM inspires children to be curious and to explore science and the world around them. Donations will be applied to supporting spectrUM's move into the library, including the creation of a new water table, expanded exhibits and programming, and the Discovery Bench, where children and families can explore something new every day.
Support spectrUM's final push to bring our exhibits and activities to the Missoula Public Library, where we will become free to the public. At spectrUM in the library, all visitors will receive free admission to spectrUM's hands-on science exhibits and programming.
